Titled after a song my grandmother used to sing to me, this piece tackles on topics such as the purity and the need for love, in a poetic way, trying to fade away from any literal meaning. Created in the summer of 2023 for the collective exhibition ‘Sobremesa’ at Fàbrica de Creació de Fabra i Coats (09.09.23). The piece is created primarily from personal archives, although it also includes sounds and images from the internet. Through intuition, discovery, and the arrangement of various materials from my personal archive, I wanted to explore the this feeling of tenderness and love that also derives from nostalgia. The material is highly diverse, ranging from my grandmother singing and sleeping to my aunt making a cake or the sound the Wii made while loading the game. As in almost all of my practice, the process is key, and it is while editing the video, finding material, combining it, and modifying it that the final narrative is constructed.

bajo del agua, cerca de un mes
