"Apunts i teixits" isa collection of works created using textile materials and paper. I wanted to explore drawing in terms of the dimensions it can take beyond paper. I focused on the type of drawing I usually do, quick and without much intention, made in moments of boredom. These drawings have a more naïve or comic style, in which a story or scene is told in a single drawing, in a single plane. With textiles, not only can these little scenes be recreated, but more layers are added: textures come into play, as well as spacing (the "gaps" between threads), stiffness/softness... I wanted to tell a story through volume and dimensionality, without giving up the type of drawing I practice. Furthermore, I wanted to play with the contrasts between the synthetic and the natural, the analog and the digital, creating pieces by hand and also on the digital loom.
